As part of our continued belief that the environment is an integral part of our business model we've introduced a new 'Green Mail Campaign'! We've partnered with existing clients to plant trees on their behalf through The Nature Conservancy to help offset the paper use in their direct mail campaigns and reduce their carbon footprint!
You can take advantage of this program at no additional cost, and make an impact on the environment simply by contracting with World Wide Mailing for all your direct mail needs!
Existing and future clients can help replenish forests and assure their customers that their direct mail campaigns are having less of an environmental impact than ever before!
While there are too many factors to determine exactly how much paper can be made from one tree, we can make some generalizations. Assuming the following products have been produced using 100-percent hardwood, we can estimate that one cord (a cord of wood is approximately 8-feet wide, 4-feet deep, and 4-feet high) of this wood will yield approximately:
- 1,000-2,000 pounds of paper (depending on the process)
- 942 100-page, hard-cover books
- 61,370 No. 10 business envelopes
- 4,384,000 commemorative-sized postage stamps
- 460,000 personal checks
- 1,200 copies of National Geographic
- 2,700 copies of an average daily newspaper

World Wide Mailing will plant, in cooperation with The Nature Conservancy, an amount of trees that correlates to the number of pieces your direct mail campaign contracts us to handle:
| Number of Trees Planted | Number of Direct Mail Pieces |
| 1 | 0-10,000 |
| 2 | 10,000-20,000 |
| 3 | 20,000-30,000 |
| 4 | 30,000-40,000 |
|
etc. |
|
At the end of each month World Wide Mailing will tally up how many direct mail pieces you sent out and purchase a corresponding number of trees from The Nature Conservancy, who will then plant those trees in conjunction with their Plant A Billion Trees campaign currently underway. Quarterly we'll send out a Green Mail Certificate to our clients indicating how many trees were planted on their behalf.
We'll also keep track of how many trees have been planted for you on our website as well as a running tally of how many total trees have been planted through our program!
World Wide Mailing's Green Mail Campaign will help off-set the huge amount of paper used in direct mail projects and helps fulfill our obligation in creating and maintaining sustainable business practices with the smallest environmental impact possible!
